It's fun to have guests in town. You get a chance to show off the sights and sounds of Seattle. Maybe, if there's time, even take them to Pike Place to see the fish get thrown around, or ride to the top of the Space Needle for a view of the city. It can make for a great way to spend a day ... unless your guest is Republican vice-presidential candidate Paul Ryan.
In such a scenario perhaps it's best to simply lay low, attend a few hoity-toity fundraisers, and then seriously reconsider the kind of company you keep.
As the Seattle Times notes, Paul Ryan will, indeed, be in town Monday, scheduled to appear at a fundraiser on the Eastside later today that features "two levels of entry, $1,000 for general participation, $2,500 for a picture with Ryan." The Times goes on to point out that Ryan will later attend a dinner that will cost excited Republicans close to $25,000 to get into.
What a steal!
As obvious as my snarky post was, an irritated reply from a commenter with a Reagan reference in their name was just as predictable, and it didn't take long to garner one.

Exciting! I wish I were in Seattle so I could go.Maybe you should also do a snarky article on the massively expensive fundraiser the Obamessiah has with all his Hollywood cronies? Repeatedly.
