Washington's two lackluster candidates for governor, Rob McKenna and Jay Inslee, faced off
KATU TV last night in Pullman last night at the WSU campus in Vancouver. No, they weren't playing beer pong. They were debating the future of our state, trading bitchy little verbal jabs, agreeing on many topics, misidentifying the governor of Virginia, making questionable jokes, getting irritated, speaking in vague generalities, and generally doing all the things you'd expect out of the first big-time gubernatorial debate of the season.
Not surprisingly, according to the Washington State Democratic Party, Inslee kicked major ass.
Of course, the Washington State Republican Party was pretty adamant in its stance that Rob McKenna dominated (like the lasting image of McKenna's unexpected chest beefers dominate this campaign video).
