What's going on between brother and sisters in Seattle lately? Earlier this week there was the story about the North Seattle standoff created when a sister allegedly attacked a man believed to be her brother by biting and scratching him. Now, according to Seattle Police, authorities are investigating an incident that occurred last night in South Seattle in which a 21-year-old woman allegedly took a knife to the shoulder of her 12-year-old brother.
SPD Detective Jeff Kappel says police were alerted to the scene by a 911 call in which a stabbing was reported before the caller hung up. Officers responded to 9700 block of 59th Avenue South at approximately 8:23 p.m. and encountered the quarelling siblings.
Preliminary investigation indicates that the suspect, a 21 year old female, got into a verbal argument with her brother that escalated into a physical altercation. The suspect ended up cutting the victim on the shoulder with a knife.
Police say the 12-year-old brother was checked out at the scene by the Seattle Fire Department before being transported to Harborview by family members for treatment of his non-life-threatening injuries.
His sister, on the other, was arrested for investigation of domestic violence assault.
