Comment of the Day: The Imagination that Comes with Police Racism

Last week on The Daily Weekly we posted about a recent robbery at a Target in Tacoma wherein a man hid out inside the store until after it closed and then made off with thousands of dollars of iPads and iPad accessories in a couple stolen suitcases.

As the post noted:

Police say after stuffing his newly-acquired luggage full of iPads the man smashed a glass door and made off on foot - heading west toward Union Avenue. During his getaway the man apparently dropped one of the pieces of luggage he'd stuffed with stolen goods, which police later recovered.

According to Tacoma Pierce County Crime Stoppers, which is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and charges filed in the case, the suspect is described as a black male, approximately 20 years old, with a light complexion and a slender build. During the burglary, as you can see in the crappy surveillance photos that have been made available, the suspect was wearing a black and white checkered hooded coat, light colored pants, black shoes, white gloves and a baseball hat with a red bill.

The description provided by police got a commenter simply identified as "guest" heated up:

Really, a black 20 year old male? Obviously the images have been altered to protect the criminals, because the only thing I can really tell about this guy is he has a mustache and amazing taste in clothes. The rest requires the imagination that comes with police racism.
