On Tuesday I posted to The Daily Weekly about an incident in North Seattle in which the cops were lured into a standoff involving a quarrelling brother and sister. A misleading 911 call led to a home being surrounded by police, and eventually a 40-some-year-old man being transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening bites and scratches. The cops say a woman they believe to be the man's sister is responsible for said bites and scratches.
As the post noted:
Police say the house was quickly surrounded by responding officers, along with Anti-Crime Team (ACT) officers and negotiators, and it was determined that the only person still inside the house was the female suspect. After what's described as "numerous unsuccessful attempts" were made to draw the woman out, police say "ACT officers made entry into the residence and arrested the 33 year old female suspect without further incident."
According to Kappel, the victim in this bizarre string of events is believed to be the woman's 40-some -year-old brother, who suffered bites, cuts on the face, and was also allegedly punched by his younger sister. The man was subsequently transported to Harborview Medical Center for treatment of his non-life-threatening injuries.
For Daily Weekly commenter Duhh, the story apparently came as no surprise.
Pff, this is nothing, when siblings go at it just leave them alone, its nature, siblings hate each other and thats just the way it is. My sister stabbed me with scissors and hit me in the head with a showel. And thats just two of many incidents. No cops were called, no one whined, we`re siblings, let us fight each other.
