Who killed Andis Peterson? Or Franklin Wood? Or 16 other Seattleites in the last two-and-a-half years? They're the latest unsolved murder cases in Seattle, and police homicide detectives are hoping to solicit more clues with the launch of an electronic murder-victim poster page, called Catch a Killer, on the SPD Blotter website.

"Behind each crime statistic is a victim with a story," a note reads. "We want to keep the memories alive of each person behind the headlines. We also need your help to find their killers."

Peterson and Wood are first on list, both murdered in January 2010 during a home invasion robbery in the Northgate area. Three armed, masked gunmen forced their way into the home they shared and fatally shot them both.

The web site doesn't report what the gunmen were seeking, focusing instead on the victims:

Franklin Wood loved to make his friends and family laugh, with his great sense of humor and clever rhymes. He was an accomplished pencil artist, drawing detailed life like portraits. He loved hanging out with his friends and family, listening to music and playing video games.

Andis Peterson's family says Andis was his father's best friend, and describe him as a kind, loving young man who enjoyed going paintballing with friends, and playing with his dog, Buster.
