How do you spend your Saturdays and Sundays? Sometimes I mow the lawn. Sometimes former Rainier Beach standout Jamal Crawford hits last-second, game-winning three-pointers then walks out of the gym like it was nothing -- part of his Jamal Crawford Summer Pro-Am league at the Rainier Vista Boys and Girls Club.
As the league's website notes, "The Jamal Crawford Summer Pro-Am is Seattle's premier men's basketball league featuring current and former NBA, International, Minor League, and collegiate players with ties to Washington State." This list includes Crawford, naturally, and dudes like Brandon Roy, Nate Robinson, Terrence Williams, Spencer Hawes, Quincy Pondexter, Isaiah Thomas, Tony Wroten, and pretty much everyone else you could possibly imagine. The league plays on Saturdays and Sundays, three games a day, at the Rainier Vista Boys and Girls Club through August.
Here's the video that's making the rounds, uploaded to YouTube June 22 by "seatownballer21" and subsequently sprayed to the masses yesterday afternoon. As Deadspin points out, "... in the Jamal Crawford Summer Pro Am League, you are not allowed to put a hand in the face of the guy the league's named after."
