Comment of the Day: Pass Whatever SCOTUS is Smoking

Who wants to get high?
Yesterday, obviously, was a big day for the future of health care in our country. The United States Supreme Court handed down its ruling upholding the Affordable Care Act, otherwise known as Obamacare. And, not surprisingly, people were fired up.

The Supreme Court's ruling affirmed the constitutionality of the most hotly-debated and aspect of the law: the requirement that almost all Americans carry health insurance or pay a fine. This mandate - loathed and challenged by most Republicans - was upheld by the Court under the federal government's power to levy taxes.

That decision was enough to set commenter Christopher Neal off.

Neal writes:

So it is unconstitutional to force Americans to buy a product that they do not want, but it IS constitutional to penalize Americans for not buying said unconstitutional product. Got it.

Wish I had some of what the Supremes are smoking...
