The Seattle Police Department has announced via Twitter that "hundreds" of pot plants were discovered this morning in the basement of a restaurant in the 6000 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Way following an electrical fire

UPDATE: KING 5 reports that the restaurant in question is the My Canh Restaurant Vietnamese restaurant at 6007 Martin Luther King Way South on Beacon Hill, as the picture tweeted by SPD suggests. According to KING 5's report, "re-wiring may have funneled extra power to the area where the plants were growing."

KING 5 also reports that Seattle Police plan to investigate whether the business was stealing power.

UPDATE: KOMO reports there were 300 pot plants discovered.
