The Associated Press is reporting that Colton Harris-Moore - known the world over as the Barefoot Bandit - has been transferred out of solitary confinement at the Walla Walla State Penitentiary and moved to the medium security Stafford Creek Corrections Center in Aberdeen.
Then again, how much difference is there between solitary confinement and Aberdeen? Probably not much.
From the AP story:
Spokesman Chad Lewis says the 21-year-old was in intensive management at Walla Walla with inmates facing the death penalty for his own protection as a high-profile prisoner.
As has been reported ad nauseum, Moore is currently serving a prison sentence for the string of burglaries - including the heisting of planes and breaking into people's homes just to eat ice cream - that made him famous. His lawyer, John Henry Browne, tells the AP that will enroll in a GED program in his new digs, and will also have access to better counseling.
