Yesterday I posted about Seattle "superhero" Phoenix Jones and how a video he recorded early Sunday morning is being used by Seattle Police as part of the investigation of a shooting in Pioneer Square. And, yes, I pointed out with no lack of snark that Seattle Weekly has questioned Jones'- shall we say - superpowers in the past.

Do you want block watches or not? Are the police omnipresent? Can we afford to have them on every street corner and park? The critics of the Superhero Movement are contemptable. Critics are not addressing these issues. Critics are not contributing solutions to crime, theft and murder. The true "whores" of society offer only sarcasm without substance. Pleasing only themselves--they are intellectual masterbaters--I wish they'd just find a closet. ......Phoenix Jones is a block watch with flair and originality. There's a genuine risk in what he is doing and if he gets publicity, fame and even fortune for it...well, he deserves it! Jealousy speaks more against the critic than it says about the target. Phoenix has been on a learning curve and watching the kinks get worked out has some entertainment value. But in the end, Phoenix should have much to teach in balancing (1) safety, (2) cooperation with law enforcement, and (3) crime reduction. .....Meanwhile, let's watch the critics on this thread expose themselves as the incompetent do-nothings they are......
