Comment of the Day: Somebody's Getting a Lump of Coal in Their Stocking

Last week Daily Weekly posted about the Chiu brothers, Andrew and Allen, who recently pleaded guilty to wire fraud - part of an elaborate (kind of) scheme that swindled more than $1.4 million from Nordstrom in commission and rebates. The ruse utilized the online shopping site Fat Wallet Inc. and what's described as a computer programming error in Nordstrom's ordering system.

Naturally, being about Nordstrom, the post contained at least two jokes about fancy shoes and expensive jeans. This inspired commenter CompareRewards to weigh in:

LOL @ the fancy shoes / jeans comments. Have you read the civil suit FatWallet filed against the Chiu brothers? It contains more details about the case. The brothers' response was to plead the Fifth because of the criminal charge and to file a motion to stay.

They used dozens of bogus accounts and at one point tried to get a check cut in a parent's name. Somebody's getting a lump of coal in their stocking this Christmas!
