Putting the Comment in the Comment of the Day today is a young girl who may or may not have made me choke up a little.
The comment was made in response to Monday's story about King County Council candidate Diana Toledo and a recent break-in to her house in which nothing was stolen. . . Except for the seven-week-old pit bull puppy pictured at right.
Toledo told us that her young niece had been raising the puppy and was "devastated" by the break in.
But the girl herself put the ordeal into her own words.
I am Diana Toledos niece, i was the one training jewel to sit, settle, and not to bite. i was with her so much, she was a part of our family and someone came and stole her. All i want is to have the puppy back. there isnt a day that goes by that she is not on my mind, and that i am not lookin for her, my eyes are pealed open and i am determined to get her back. For me this break in was horrible, that night i could not stop crying, all that was going threw my head is if they were keepin jewel safe, i still cry everytime i see other puppies, its been hard. All im asking for is for EVERYONE keep there eyes open please! I just want her home safe.
The Toledo family has put a dog crate at the end of their driveway and says that whoever has the dog can return her "no questions asked."
