Snohomish County Executive Aaron Reardon is currently being investigated by the Washington State Patrol for potential misuse of state funds. The investigation comes mere days before the election to decide if Reardon keeps his job or if Republican challenger Mike Hope will unseat him.
At the center of the investigation is a series of trips that Reardon took with the Trade Development Alliance to Europe and the Middle East in which $30,892.49 was paid out by Snohomish County to cover Reardon's travel expenses.
So in the interest of the public's-right-to-know, here are the full set of receipts provided by Reardon's office, which his spokesman says clears Reardon of any wrongdoing.
To be sure, I haven't yet completed an audit of the receipts. But in the interest of time I felt it was beneficial to get the files up sooner rather than later.
First, this is the file that contains the un-itemized expenses Reardon filed with the state's Public Disclosure Commission.
