A suspect was arrested around 5:10 p.m. in Oak Harbor. Officials said 30-year-old Joshua D. Lambert is a suspect in one homicide, and a person of interest in the other. A motive has not been established.
Jane Eaton, a cousin of the suspect, said Lambert has a history of mental illness.
"I I don't know if it was some medication, or ADHD, bipolar or what that had caused him to do that, but that's pretty much all I know of about my cousin Josh," she said.
Lambert apparently has a long criminal history that includes two felonies for second-degree malicious mischief and possession of a firearm and seven gross misdemeanors.
The grandfathers' identities have yet to be released.
