First Microsoft was making a tablet computer. Then it wasn't. Then it was again.
Now it has.And the results--at least from one influential tech blog--are that it's "fantastic."
A Microsoft tablet with Windows 8 has been a long time coming, but it's finally here. Sort of. We got our hands on a developer's preview yesterday and while flawed, it's extremely impressive.
High points of the device include:
Easy and responsive touch-screen interface.
"Blazing fast" speed.
Killer operating system (the test version was running Windows 8)
Extremely customizable interface.
No Flash (though because the device tested was just a preview model, Flash may still make it to the final version).
A fan that almost always runs.
Still not as a good as the iPad.
So there you go. Apparently it's time people finally took Microsoft seriously when it comes to tablet computers.
