Congressman Dennis Kucinich loves Ohio. He's "been praying" oh-so-hard that his home state would finally come to its senses and agree not to kick him out, via redistricting.
As for all those trips he's been taking to Washington state this summer--the sweaty afternoons at the labor rallies; the passionate nights at the Chase Bank protests--those were just because he thought Ohio didn't want him anymore.
Here's the statement Kucinich sent on Tuesday when he found out he'd likely be able to stay in Ohio and run for reelection.
"I have been praying that I could continue to serve my Cleveland-area constituency and it looks like I have a chance.
"That is all I could have hoped for."
There's no doubt that Kucinich has been praying. But whether he's been praying that he could "serve my Cleveland-area constituency" or that could serve any damn constituency that would have him is a matter of opinion.
