There are fewer surefire ways to connect with Generation Y'ers than with shameless '90s pop-culture references. So perhaps that's why Amazon has laid the groundwork for a whole new line of products subtly themed after America's favorite cartoon earth-saver.
If you haven't heard, the name of the long-awaited Amazon tablet is the "Kindle Fire."
News of the name-drop was first reported at TechCrunch on Monday. The actual unveiling of the tablet by Amazon is scheduled for Wednesday.
Over at GeekWire, Todd Bishop notes that before the launch, Amazon had registered not only KindleFire.com, but KindleAir.com, KindleWater.com, and KindleEarth.com.
