Here's a pleasant story to start off your Tuesday. It involves a man, some meth, a bathroom stall, propositions for sex, and a helpful trail drawn on the floor.
According to court documents provided by Benton County Prosecutor Andy Miller, Jerry Prieto, a 38-year-old man from Sunnyside, was discovered by police last October wearing only a T-shirt and underwear while on his hands and knees inside a bathroom stall at a Prosser rest stop.
Outside the stall was an arrow drawn on the floor with a felt-tipped pen, adorned with messages promising sex, and pointing directly to the bathroom stall that Prieto was occupying in his modified yoga pose.
When asked what he was doing, Prieto initially claimed that he'd pooped his pants and that's why he was in the stall.
No poop was found. But a bunch of methamphetamine was found, along with a hypodermic syringe inside Prieto's car. Track marks were also found all over Prieto's arms.
On Monday, Prieto pleaded guilty to charges of possessing methamphetamine and third-degree malicious mischief with sexual motivation. He was sentenced on Monday to serve 45 days in jail and to only use rest-stop bathrooms for their traditional purpose.
Wait, I'm being told that rest-stop bathrooms are traditionally used for drug-fueled male prostitution.
