Tacoma School of Arts senior Grace Oberhofer's soprano ode to the Harvard undergrad admissions office was a creative (possibly Legally Blonde-inspired) attempt to get America's most prestigious school to let her in. That, unfortunately, didn't work. But in the process, 59,304 people were entertained by her piano-backed begging.
The Harvard Crimson today reports that the university's admissions department passed on Oberhofer. Instead, she'll be attending Tufts University, a hop, skip, and a jump away from her dream school's red-hued campus.
Here's her video.
After submitting her video Oberhofer was given "waitlist" status on her application as the views on her YouTube hits continued to rack up.
But obviously, "waitlist" was as far as she got.
Whatever. When Tufts University is your "safe school," things ain't so bad.
