As the officers arrested the 18-year-old, who is prohibited from carrying a handgun, the suspect's cousin yelled, "What are you doing man . . . you're (expletive) up the lawsuit!" Sheriff's Sgt. John Urquhart said.
The gun-flashing incident allegedly followed a fight near Third Avenue and Pine Street around 9:45 p.m. on Friday.
Hoston is a felon and barred from carrying a gun.
Hoston's $450,000 federal lawsuit is an entirely separate affair from his new criminal woes, so it's unclear if the new incident will actually "fuck up" his lawsuit, as his cousin hypothesizes.
But being that the defense in that lawsuit may very well be that the officer had every reason to think Hoston was a violent thug who only minutes earlier had assaulted an officer, getting caught waving a gun around certainly won't help.
Fortunately for Hoston, his supposed gun-toting wasn't caught on tape.
