As the hometown of Nintendo's United States headquarters we're all very excited about the company's new portable 3DS gaming system. We're not, however, as excited about it as this guy.
"This guy" is Orin Shepherd, aka "Cranberryzero" a blogger/video game geek/garlic soup enthusiast who went and got a new 3DS tattoo. But not just any tattoo, Shepherd got an "Augmented Reality Card" tattoo.
Basically it's a picture that, when read by the camera of certain gadgets, triggers some kind of interactive program. For 3DS players, the cards, each with different objects and patterns drawn on them, triggers 3-D mini-games that a user can play.
Here's the tattoo itself. Looks normal, right?
Check out what happens when he shows it off to his little portable gaming friend.
Of course, being that he tattooed the mark on his wrist and the 3DS requires two hands to play, it would seem that Mr. Shepherd made a grave error in choosing a location for his geek brand.
But hey, what do we know. The closest thing to an interactive tattoo we've ever seen is this.
