Near as we can tell, the hottest newspapers in town belong to Seattle's two alt-weeklies, Seattle Weekly and The Stranger. They've been the main targets of a firebug hitting newspaper boxes on Capitol Hill and the U District the past couple nights. The Seattle Times, meanwhile, was apparently untouched, even with its picture of Osama bin Laden on its front page.
Was it something we said, or was it just a guy trying to stay warm? After all, he, or she, chose the free papers. At 50 cents ("quarters only"), the Times apparently wasn't worth burning.
