Seattle Weekly Wins 15 Society of Professional Journalists Awards

spj-logo01.jpg
It was a banner weekend for Seattle Weekly when the Society of Professional Journalists announced the winners of this year's Northwest Excellence in Journalism Contest at a banquet at Safeco Field. Weekly staffers took home 15 awards total (more than any other weekly in the region), including first place all-around for staff, portrait photography, and page design.

See a full list of our winners with links to their work after the jump.

It should be noted that due to some kind of error we haven't figured out yet, Seattle Weekly Managing Editor Caleb Hannan was marked as the winner of every one of the paper's awards. Mr. Hannan did not in fact win 15 awards (though he did win one). But since he's now on his fifth bottle of celebratory champagne, we just haven't had the heart to tell him.

Anyhow, without further ado, here our winners.
