Mariners outfielder Milton Bradley didn't play in Tuesday night's series opener against the Texas Rangers. He was suspended. And as you can imagine, he was super excited to talk it with the reporters who showed up.
Bradley's suspension followed him arguing with second-base umpire Gerry Davis during Saturday's game against the Boston Red Sox.
After a close play in which Miguel Olivo was called out at first base, and even after M's skipper Eric Wedge had his own verbal row with the ump, Bradley decided that he still had something left to say to Davis--something he needed to be inches from his face to say.
Apparently Bradley's helmet brim bumped Davis' hat during the exchange, so the outfielder was suspended for a game and fined an undisclosed amount.
The AP also reports that some local reporters had the nerve to ask him about the suspension before the game.
When approached in the clubhouse before the game, Bradley asked reporters to get away from his locker.
No word on the amount of personal space Bradley afforded the reporters whilst telling them to fuck off.
