While giving most women a $1 million diamond ring is going to elicit a standard response of shock, awe, and shameless fawning, some ladies want more. Some ladies want to know you're frugal too. They want the same trip during which you procured their grand nuptial insignia to also be used to buy 60 rolls of toilet paper and a twin pack of honey-baked hams.
That is, of course, where Costco comes in. The Issaquah-based warehouse chain is now selling a massive, 6.7 carat diamond-and-platinum ring.
Apparently the thing is worth $1.6 million, so really, buying it is like making $600,000. Or something.
Here are the specs:
IGI Value: $ 1,601,875
GIA #: 5121745439

Diamond Shape: Round Brilliant
Minimum Diamond Weight: 6.77 ct
Diamond Clarity: Internally Flawless ( IF )
Diamond Color: Colorless ( D )

Not sure what all that means. But buying a million-dollar ring at a store that also sells mayonnaise in five-gallon jugs means something too. Also not sure what that is.
