Alex Trowell wouldn't take no for an answer. In December, police say he climbed in a car and started driving from his house near Boise to the house of a 12-year-old girl in New Mexico who he'd met online while playing World of Warcraft. He never made it to New Mexico, because police got wind of his trip and called him on his cell phone and told him to turn around, which he did. But 18-year-old Trowell supposedly would not be denied a meet-up with his tweeny fellow gamer. He was arrested this week after police say he bought a plane ticket for the girl and flew her out to his place for a little fondling session.
The girl's mother tipped off police that the middle schooler was probably with Trowell. Nampa police said they caught the two as they were about to get into the shower together. The pair hadn't had sex, but had fooled around.
The girl's mom wouldn't talk on camera, but told News 13 she would advise other parents to keep their kids off the Internet until 16 and not allow them to have unrestricted cell phone use.
That or just lock them in their rooms until they turn 18.
