If handed a 225-pound barbell while lying face-up on a bench, the average human would probably end up with a crushed larynx or a severed head. Freshly graduated Oregon State Defensive Tackle Stephen Paea is not an average human.

The Tongan strongman just set a record at the NFL Scouting Combine on Monday, bench-pressing 225 pounds 49 times.

The feat came amid a symphony of manly grunts, and was picked up on early by Arizona Cardinals strength coach and spotter John Lott, who exclaimed "we got a live one!"

When Paea doesn't have to press the bar 49 times, he's been known to bench 500 pounds and squat 600.

And after setting the bench-press record, Paea went on to rip a phone book in half and squeeze blood from a stone.
