Mitch Landrieu, New Orleans Mayor, Sends Over Fish and Music Winnings After Seahawks Win; McGinn Promises Pothole Party

So now that New Orleans Mayor Mitch Landrieu has coughed up his iconic Big Easy delicacies after losing the bet he made with Seattle Mayor Mike McGinn on Saturday's Seahawks-Saints game, where can we go to get some gumbo? And furthermore, what are the plans for wagers with Chicago Mayor Richard Daley on this Sunday's game?

We've got answers for the first query, and a "stay tuned" on the second one.

McGinn spokesman Aaron Pickus tells Seattle Weekly that the 10 pounds of Louisiana shrimp, gallon of oysters, gallon of crawfish etouffée, gallon of chicken-and-sausage gumbo, and "fleur de lis" king cake that Landrieu sent will be shared with the SDOT crews who will soon be out there "working on snow removal and pothole repair."

No word on what will become of the CDs sent from NOLO, which include Kermit Ruffins, Ellis and Jason Marsalis, Dr. Michael White, Henry Butler, Joh Cleary, Los Hombres Calientes, Theresa Andersson, Rebirth Brass Band, Irvin Mayfield, and Jeremy Davenport.

As for bets with Mayor Daley, Pickus says that's still developing.

I for one will tell you right now that if the Hawks win and we end up with a stack of deep-dish pizzas from Lou Malnati's, I'll volunteer to fill as many potholes as McGinn can find.
