A look--from half-turn, to dead--at the last seconds of John T. Williams' life (a short scene performed by Seattle Police Officer Ian Birk in front of a King County inquest jury).

This from yesterday's testimony, which included Birk being questioned by a lawyer representing Williams' family.

The Seattle Times took the video.

Birk had been given a large envelope representing Williams' wood statue and a pen representing his knife, and was told to re-enact his encounter with the woodcarver on Aug. 30. Birk demonstrated how Williams gave a half-turn and a mean look--or as he describes it: a "furrowed brow, thousand-yard stare, set jaw, knife up in front of himself, shoulders raised, in a very confrontational posture."
