The Daily Weekly checked in with Seattle Parks and Recreation events scheduler Jeff Hodges who said that if there's a march planned, they'll have to stick to the sidewalks.
"I have no knowledge of any march planned for Saturday," says Hodges. "If they are just going to walk on the sidewalks with signs, that's fine. They would need a permit though if it was going to require road closures."
We're still waiting to hear back from event organizers on whether they actually intend to march. But so far all signs are pointing to a 9-to-noon party at Westlake Park this Saturday, followed by a quiet dispersal into the surrounding bars.
UPDATE: Rally organizer Jim Baum says indeed that they will not be marching.
