Koren Robinson Is North Carolina's Third-Biggest Tax Cheat

As a receiver for the Seahawks, Koren Robinson was mostly known for his inability to stay sober. He was drafted ninth by Seattle back in 2001. But two drunk driving arrests and numerous violations of the NFL's substance-abuse policy wrecked his career. Now it appears his financial life is in as much disrepair as his professional one, as he owes a substantial bar-tab in his home state of North Carolina.

As the Charlotte Observer reports, tax delinquencies are on the rise during the recession. North Carolina is due some $840 million and Robinson is the state's third-biggest scofflaw, owing almost half-a-million in back-taxes in the land where he was born, raised and played college ball.

Robinson has signed contracts worth nearly $23 million in the course of his tumultuous career. It's anyone's best guess where that money has ended up. But given his unfortunate history as a drunk, it probably wouldn't surprise anyone if he spent like one too.
