Buying a gun used to be like buying a savings bond: it was something you did as much for you as for your country. But now guns are under attack! If it wasn't for the Supreme Court, the NRA and the Second Amendment Foundation there would be almost no one to stand up for guns and the people who own them.
Thankfully, Field & Stream has compiled a slideshow of awesome old gun ads like the one on the right, which I like to call "The Family That Shoots Together, Stays Together." These remind us of the post-war days when men were men and stockings were stuffed with Winchesters. Here are five of my favorites.
