Meg Whitman's Cheezburger Network FAIL

meg whitman fail blog.png
Cheezburger Network founder Ben Huh built an Internet chain based on superimposing pithy, Impact-fonted words onto user-submitted photos of kitty cats and grandmas wearing funny shirts. Huh's is an empire built on fluff. And he's none too happy that California gubernatorial candidate Meg Whitman is trying to imbue it with a little substance.

In an ad attacking her opponent Jerry Brown, Whitman's campaign recreated the FAIL blog look for a picture of Brown with the eponymous word. (Fast forward to the 50-second mark on the video below.)

Writing at FAIL blog, Huh called the Whitman attack ad an "Honesty Fail." Not because of copyright infringement, but because the former eBay CEO's message seemed to suggest that FAIL blog had a political bent.

This is a place for humor, a place to laugh, and to have light-hearted fun poking at each other and what we see in the world. The FAIL Blog community involves liberals, conservatives and everyone across the political spectrum. And we do not endorse the use of FAIL Blog's image or any content on any of the Cheezburger sites for anyone's political gain.

We demand a written apology from the Whitman campaign and the removal of the video.
