If it sometimes feels as if members of the rapidly growing Tea Party movement (a movement that, incidentally, may or may not include our Attorney General) are trying to create a new country in their own image, then it makes sense that they'd want to start their own language too.
Flickr That's not how you...
"Teabonics" is the portmanteau that describes the Tea Party vernacular. A linguistic phenomenon that began around 2008, when Obama birthers started showing up outside of Sarah Palin rallies with handmade signs, usually featuring one or more egregious misspellings.
Not all instances of "Teabonics" are created equal, however. Thankfully, heroic Flickr user Pargon has collected most known instances of this new pidgin tongue. Here now, a list of the 10 funniest, with special favor shown towards grammatical errors which also serve to undermine the sign-carrier's message.10.
|If that's supposed to be a band-aid on the "l" then it's possible this was less a misspelling and more a bad pun.|
Flick Good thing Hussien Obama didn't get elected. His name alone makes him sound un-American.
Yo'uve made a point I ca'nt possibly argue with.
