Milton Bradley may have a little trouble accepting responsibility for his actions. The Mariners' newest left fielder is, after all, the guy who recently blamed Chicago (not his teammates or his batting coach or his GM, but the entire city) for his struggles while with the Cubs.
Yo Zach Grienke, I'm really happy for you and I'mma let you finish, but King Felix had one of the greatest K/9 rations of all-time!
So it shouldn't really come as a surprise when Bradley starts comparing himself with other guys who have their fair share of critics."If I was a musician, I'd be Kanye West. If I was in the NBA, I'd be Ron Artest," Bradley told the AP. "In baseball, they've got Milton Bradley. I'm that guy. You need people like me, so you can point your finger and go, 'There goes the bad guy."
I'm not sure who the "you" is supposed to be in that quote. Maybe he meant the writer? Maybe he meant the media in general?
All I know is, if this is his way of telling the world he plans on interrupting the 2010 Cy Young Award presentation, a la Kanye at the VMA's, I want to be on the record as having been totally supportive of this new, possibly even crazier, version of Milton Bradley.
