One of stripper king Frank Colacurcio Sr.'s oldest and closest friends and employees, ex-nightclub singer John "Gil" Conte, 76, (right) has pleaded guilty in the federal racketeering case that aims to send his boss back to prison. According to court documents released today, Conte agreed to a plea deal on conspiracy to use interstate facilities to aid racketeering and is to be sentenced next month.
Conte, whose education extends to the 5th grade says the court docs, is free on bond. A report just posted at the Times states he'll face no prison time because he's small fish. The other defendants apparently approved of the plea, indicating Conte's unlikely to provide useful testimony against them. He'll continue as a $50,000-a-year driver, caretaker and girl transporter for Colacurcio, now 92.
