It was like a spy thriller. We in the media got a briefing this morning on the top-secret maps showing which schools everybody in the district will be assigned to based on where they live. Two large easels containing the precious maps faced the wall while enrollment manager Tracy Libros outlined the principles involved. And then--gasp--the easels were turned around. Can I tell you what I learned? We've sworn in blood not to--until 5 p.m., when the district formally presents the maps at a board workshop. At that time, you can find the maps right here on this page, which might be a better option than the district Website. District staff fear there might be trouble accessing their site due to all the expected interest.
You can also attend the board workshop yourself. The preamble starts at 4 p.m. in the John Stanford Center Auditorium.
