Yesterday, we noted the streak of cars crashing into care facilities, a la then-Husky Jerramy Stevens infamous hit and run (which was made possible because it didn't also require a catch, right, Hawks fans?). Well, the care facility streak ended, but the cars-into-buildings streak lives on. At 12:30 AM today--just in time to make it a third day, rather than a double-header yesterday--a station wagon crashed into a residential building on Seaview Avenue in Ballard. Fortunately for the former's occupants, it was a Volvo, the safest of conveyances. Nevertheless, the passenger was taken to the hospital. (The driver was arrested.) No one in the building was hurt. I think the Seattle area needs to get one of those signs they have at worksites: This city has gone __ days without a car crashing into a building.
