Tonight's nationally televised Sounders match against the New England Revolution (7 PM, Qwest Field) features no shortage of storylines: For example, a pair of identical Gambian twins playing on opposite teams for the first time ever and the Sounders' continued attempt to manage the absence of team leader/underwear supermodel Freddie Ljungberg, who is no longer suffering from migraines but now suffers from memory loss and disorientation.
But in looking forward to the game, let us not forget the pre-game festivities, one important element of which is the skills display frequently put on by "Luna The Soccer Dog." So she's dubbed by her owner, Walt Walsh, a professor at UW Law School. An hour or so before most Sounders games, Walsh and Luna--both clad in Sounders jerseys--kick the ball around Occidental Park. He even brings a goal for Luna to take a few shots. Walsh says he'd like to get her on the field as a halftime show. Video of their show after the jump:
