For her weekly Seattle People photo essay, Jenny Jimenez visited Hempfest this weekend, where she ran into Jana & Brenton from Tukwila who came down to the festivities along Elliott Bay to do a little shopping. The following is an excerpt from their conversation:
Jana, on their favorite purchase: "We like our warm & fuzzy 420 blanket and our new bong because you can use them both naked."
Brenton, on their new bong: "You gotta get a new, good bong every year. This is a triple perc skeleton made of pyrex."
Jana, on other purchases: "A solar powered backpack, Lollipipe (a lollipop in the shape of a pipe), and Xylimelts. They're mints that lubricate your mouth.... I say they should sell them to sex shops"
Brenton, on Hempfest: "I've been to Hempfest 6 or 7 times. It's Jana's first. I come to shop. It's just your typical capitalistic environment in there. If you have money, it's fun."
Brenton, on the weed: "Everyone is scared to sell, so it's BYOW (bring your own weed) in there."

Jeremy & Nikki, not having much luck with their signs.
