Ron v. Alan on 'Hardball' Gun Debate

The crossfire was all-local on Hardball last night as Seattle talk show host Ron Reagan and Bellevue gun-rights campaigner Alan Gottlieb squared off on the topic of gun-toting demonstrators at health care meetings. The Republican president's liberal son thought unloaded guns would have made a proper political statement while the conservative Gottlieb surprisingly observed that open carry was a bad idea for the cause. That made host Chris Matthews suspicious. "I wish," he said, "I had you under sodium pentothal, sir." Gottlieb made fair points. But Matthews thought he was "getting loony." Video after the jump.
