Remember how Mariners third baseman Adrian Beltre tore a testicle when a groundball hit him in, well, the testicle? It happened because he wasn't wearing a cup. And he said then that he didn't plan to wear a cup, that the discomfort of the protective apparel wasn't worth the once-in-a-decade saved pain. Well, he's going back on that stand--ever so slightly. In an attempt to return from the injury early, Beltre's been taking batting and fielding practice. And until he's fully healed, he concedes that he'll wear a cup--the first time he's donned the device since he was a teenager. "I don't know how I'm going to do it," he says. One leg at a time, Adrian. One leg at a time.
