The Seattle Police Department reports that a man was found shot to death in "The Jungle," the homeless encampment beneath I-5, next to the Industrial District. Someone notified a parking enforcement officer who was working the 1700 block of Airport Way S. that a man had been shot. Seattle Fire Department medics attempted to revive him--the SPD release describes him as "an unidentified transient male" with "a single gunshot wound to the torso"--but could not. While others in the encampment reported hearing gunshots and even seeing an indistinct figure fleeing, nobody could provide a description of the suspect.
