As if Biking Across the Ballard Bridge Weren't Already Dangerous Enough

The Ballard Bridge is notoriously dicey for cyclists, for whom it provides ribbons of tightrope on either side. With speeding traffic a high-five away, little to no room to pass (despite having cyclists moving in both directions on both sides of the road), and curbs that won't prevent you from going into the roadway, but will instead insure that you enter head-first, it's truly a say-your-prayers passage.

But for the love of God, blow-darts?! A dude named Avram says he was riding the bridge when he thought he was hit by a rock. But it kept hurting, so he reached down and found it was a blow dart. And according to participants on the MyBallard forum, he isn't the only one: someone else says they were hit with a blowdart on 8th Ave. NW in Ballard. And, of course, businesses are suing bike clubs.
