Welcome Back, Bear...and Tiny Goose!

In case you missed it over the weekend, our beloved bear was captured in Everett and returned to his home in the wild. He was eating berries on a hillside when they caught him. (They shot him with tranquilizer darts.) He is three years old and weighs 180 pounds--so he is bigger than Elijah Wood.

Much as we were rooting for him in his epic escape, it's good to know the guy's back home. After all, the saying isn't "Does a bear shit in Everett?"

In other cute, lost wildlife news, former SW cover girl Cindy Hales and her friend Akiko Carver found an abandoned gosling--dubbed "Tiny Goose"--in when canoeing. It has since been moved to Hales' sister's farm where geese roam, seamlessly joining a group of goslings of the same age. Pictures of Tiny Goose and a final dedication to our bear after the jump:
