Own a Piece of Brian Bosworth/The O.C. History...for Just $9 Million

On his way to the top, Brian Bosworth ate giant buffets before high school football games, so he could vomit in players' faces after they tackled him. He was paid $500 a day to watch an oil rig go up and down. If I remember correctly, he didn't dig Cybil Sheperd, but he "would let Debbie Gibson touch me." This is all according to his autobiography, The Boz, which was by far the best of the many sports autobiographies I read as a child.

But Bosworth's stay at the top didn't last long. He entered the league brash as Kenny Powers, but a bum shoulder had him out of it within a few years. While he was good when healthy, his most memorable play was getting steamrolled by Bo Jackson.

Since then, he's done some acting, been kneed in the face on TV by a Canadian teenager (at 5:20 in the video), been arrested for DUI, and rented his house out to Fox teen drama, the O.C. Well, that house is now for sale. Asking price? $9 million.

Finally, Mr. Bosworth is available for speaking engagements via the talent agency run by Bosworth's former coach, Barry Switzer. It's kind of amazing that Switzer would have Bosworth back, given the stories Boz told about the loose ship Switzer ran at the University of Oklahoma--for example, failing to discipline Buster Rhymes for his snowball-fight-inspired uzi warning shot spree.
