Happy Earth Day!

The Council is kicking it with a noon movie about Rachel Carson. Jones Soda is running their office with bicycle-generated power (and giving out "free soda & memorabilia"). A "composter extraordinaire" is throwing out the Mariners' first pitch. Sea-Tac Airport is holding an environmental fair. Frontline just ran an episode called "Poisoned Waters" that looks at Puget Sound's pollution problems (you can watch it online). Joel Connelly watched it.

And there's more. And more. And in case you didn' know, Earth Day was conceived in Seattle, 40 years ago. Finally, if none of that is your cup of tea, you can join the Washington Policy Center for a movie that says that this whole global warming thing is like way overhyped--at the school named after Rachel Carson.
