Uh oh. Scrappy local garbage collection company CleanScapes is great at promoting forward-thinking, eviro-friendly ideas, but it's having a little problem with the nuts and bolts. The Seattle Times reports this morning that the company-- which a couple weeks ago started implementing the city contract it won against the odds-- is largely responsible for a number of missed pickups that have left garbage piling up throughout town. "It's embarrassing," CleanScapes president Chris Martin told the Times. His company faces hefty fines if it doesn't, ahem, clean up its act.
