In case you're looking for something to do on your lunch break today, Mayor Greg Nickels will be delivering his "State of the City" speech at the new Rainier Vista Boys & Girls Club (4520 MLK Way S.) at noon. (Anyone else kinda wish that it were followed by a televised "rebuttal" from the Council, like we get after the State of the Union? That would be funny.)
At this point, Nickels looks likely to coast to a third term in office, as he's amassing cash while his potential rivals can't seem to make up their minds. (Joel Connelly says a knowledgeable source says that Tim Burgess "has agreed at least to take a look at the mayor's race.")
We're taking a look at it too. So far it looks pretty boring.
